Email privacy
What UberK Eats keeps when a Grubhub receipt is forwarded for an order.
What we store
Buyers: the email address entered at checkout, used only to send the Grubhub receipt for that order. Suppliers: nothing about your mailbox. Each claimed order gets a short one-off code; the receipt you forward with it is kept as text, attached to the order, for pickup and dispute resolution. Receipts are matched on the restaurant, items, date and order number.
What we never store
The address you forward from is not used for anything: it is never saved, logged or shown to anyone. Only the code identifies the order. No inbox is connected, no mail is read on your behalf and no Google or Microsoft permission is requested. The buyer never sees the supplier’s address, and the supplier never sees the buyer’s.
What each side sees
The receipt emailed to the buyer is the Grubhub receipt with the supplier’s name and any email addresses removed, plus the pickup number the supplier typed. The buyer’s email is masked on their own order page and shown to nobody else. Messages between buyer and supplier use aliases only.
Deleting
Receipt text and the buyer email stay attached to their order for fulfilment and disputes. Use “Report a problem” on an order to contact the operator about it, or ask the operator to remove the record once the order is closed.
